FAQ: Mail Forwarding & Mail Scanning
Everything about mail reception, digital scanning, physical forwarding and RSb letters.
How does mail forwarding work?
Incoming mail is received at our address. Depending on your package, it is scanned and delivered as a PDF by email or physically forwarded to the address of your choice.
How quickly do I receive my mail?
You receive digital scans on the same day. Physical forwarding takes 1-3 business days nationally and 3-7 business days EU-wide, depending on the destination country.
Can I choose which mail is forwarded?
Yes, you can set individual rules. For example, forward only certain senders, have everything scanned, or choose a combination of scanning and physical forwarding.
What happens with parcels?
Parcels are received and stored securely. You can pick parcels up on site (Mon-Sun) or arrange forwarding to another address. You are notified by email when a parcel arrives.
Can RSb letters be accepted?
Yes, in the Premium package RSb letters (Rückscheinbriefe b) are accepted by our authorised representatives with a registered postal power of attorney. You are notified immediately upon receipt.
Can RSa letters be accepted?
No, RSa letters must be delivered to the recipient in person. Authorised representatives may not accept them. However, you are informed about the delivery attempt and can collect the letter from the responsible post office.
In which format do I receive the scans?
All scans are provided as PDF files. You receive the scans by email and can archive and process them further.
Is mail forwarding also possible internationally?
Yes, mail forwarding is possible nationally and internationally. EU-wide forwarding is included in the Premium package. Forwarding to non-EU countries is available for an additional fee.
How do I set up the postal power of attorney?
The postal power of attorney is registered together at the responsible post office. Both parties need a valid photo ID. In the Premium package we accompany you through this process and take care of the formalities.
What happens when I am on holiday?
Your mail continues to be received and stored securely. With mail scanning you receive all letters digitally, regardless of where you are. Mail can also be collected and forwarded upon your return.
