Only the court fees are a fixed amount: EUR 522, or nothing with the NeuFoeG exemption from the commercial register fees. Court fees rose from EUR 493 to EUR 522 on 1 August 2026; the legal basis is the Austrian Court Fees Act. The notary's fee is calculated under the Notarial Tariff Act.

If one single person is both shareholder and managing director, the simplified formation under § 9a GmbH Act works without a notarial deed: the declaration of formation is made electronically via the federal business formation portal (USP), and the bank verifies your identity and takes the signature sample when the share capital is paid in.
