There is no fixed duration. It depends on three dates: convening the general meeting (for a GmbH at least seven days, unless all shareholders are present), the notary appointment and processing at the commercial register court. The transfer takes effect upon registration.

For a GmbH, court fees are 47 euros filing fee and 70 euros registration fee (as of 1 August 2026); without electronic legal communication 24 euros are added. Notary fees for the notarial deed follow the Austrian notary tariff.
